Are you ready to freak out?? :)

Those of you lovely souls that are Facebook Friends have already seen my updated progress pics, but I know there’s a lot of you out there that haven’t! Today I’m working on updating my progress page, because let’s face it … it’s pretty pitiful. Infact, most of my little tabs on this site are lacking some serious oooomph. It’s okay, you didn’t have to tell me. I could read it all over your mouse clicks. ;)

At any rate, last week marked the end of my fourth week working with my online trainer/idol/hero, Tina from Best Body Fitness. I’ll save most of the mushy-gushyness for another post (but omg I looooove her!). I originally purchased an eight-week personal program from Tina, so halfway through I wanted to take updated pictures to send her.

You. Guys.

(Please keep in mind that I purposefully chose and incredibly unflattering top so that I could really notice when the inches started to go down. Can’t wait till it’s too big to wear!)

 

Holy crap, right?!

I’m not one to normally pat myself on the back, (hello self esteem issues) but please tell me I’m not the only one flipping out? My back looks totally different! The most amazing thing about these two shots is that, in the past four weeks, I only lost 5lbs. FIVE. POUNDS. Don’t get the wrong idea, I’m completely satisfied with that loss – losing one to two pounds per week is a healthy loss rate. What blows me away is that I can physically see a MUCH bigger difference than five pounds.

This is proof that the number does not mean everything. The scale does NOT always give you accurate feedback on the effort you’re putting in or the results you’re getting. I really really hope that this might inspire some of you to take more pictures! Taking pictures and measurements has made a huge difference in my motivation levels. The scale might register a gain, but my waist goes down by an inch? HOORAY! :D

In more happy news, I’ve actually lost more inches and weight since that picture was taken last week. Here’s my official May weigh in

Starting Weight:  310.0
Last Month:          269.3
Today:                  263.2
Total Lost:             46.8

So close to that 50lb loss mark! :D

I hope you all have a fabulous Monday. Like I mentioned earlier, I’ll be making some updates here and there on the site today, so things may look weird every now and then. I’m no expert on this design thing. ;) I’ll be sure to post/point out exactly what changes when it does!

    I wish that in my journey to lose 110 pounds, I had measured. I never did. And there were SO many times when the scale didn’t budge, but I knew that I lost inches!

    Tina is da bomb! I love her. I didn’t realize you were doing her bootcamp. I’m doing a fitmixer bootcamp — also online. They give you a nutrition plan to follow (and no, it’s not all “drink fitmixer all day and all night”) — which is reallly what I needed.

    I really hope you can hit that 50 lb mark soon!

      I did her bootcamp a few weeks ago, and then bought a 8 week personal package from her. That bootcamp probably got her LOADS of clients!! I like this better though, since it’s all about what I have access too and where I’m coming from fitness wise. Some of that bootcamp stuff was WAY over my head!

      That fitmixer stuff intrigues me. Off to the interwebz I go!
