Good morning, friends!

I spent all weekend curled up with Harper (she’s all kinds of snotty/sick right now) and catching up on sleep. Hubs and I were pretty productive around the house, despite the dreary weather that moved in! Finally, all my clothes are unpacked. That only took me a month. To be clear, I don’t have a lot of clothes … I just really hate putting clothes away. Another benefit of just mailing them back to Gwynnie Bee ;)

Speaking of GB – WOW you guys! Thank you for all the positive feedback and love you showed me about my partnership with Gwynnie Bee. I knew you’d all be excited!

So, where were we. Ahhhh yes, the lazy/rainy weekend. Even though I spent 90% of my time watching Parks and Recreation and making chocolate cookies, I did have a really productive meeting with my registered dietitian! (More on that this week.) We went over some goals, and it really got me thinking about motivation.

I try to find motivation in many different places. They can be very personal motivators, like my husband, daughter, my will to overcome Binge Eating Disorder, etc. Many times I find inspiration in images and quotes (I’ve always been a sucker for a good quote), and  Pinterest has only fueled that obsession. Seriously. I have an insane amount of boards, even one dedicated to healthy living inspiration. ;)

Through Pinterest, I discovered a Tumblr blog called That ARTletic Girl, after finding myself repeatedly pinning her images! She draws it all herself, which I find incredibly inspiring on it’s own. I thought I’d share a few today.

We could always use more motivation on a Monday, right?

Here’s the link to her blog again! I don’t know much about Tumblr, but I now follow both of her blogs through my gReader. They always put a little smile on my face. They remind me not to take everything so seriously. Step back, take a deep breath, smile, and move forward. Sometimes that’s all you need to make it the extra step to the treadmill!

Talk to me! Do images/quotes inspire you? What’s your favorite quote/image? If you have any Pinterest boards with motivation you’d like to share, please do! I’d love to follow :D

I have managed to avoid Pinterest like the plague, for the same reason that I go on unannounced hiatuses from FaceBook: Comparison is the thief of joy. That said, I am a sucker for a cute picture and a good quote. I have several that I rotate as my laptop background to keep me motivated and inspired.

Oh I love that quote! It’s one that I try to remind myself of pretty often. We’re all on our own journey, right? :)
