Good morning, friends! Did you have a relaxing weekend?

Saturday night I got to meet up with this lovely lady for some good girl-time. It’s not often that I get out of the house for dinner with out Adam and Harper. I love my family, but hey. It’s nice to have some alone time!

Cafe Fresh in Moline, IL was the spot Brooke picked. It was perfect!

cafe fresh in moline IL is delish!

Super cute, clean, and some of the best sangria and shrimp tacos I’ve ever had! Even though we passed on dessert, I was drooling over the cupcakes before Brooke got there. I would definitely go back the next time I’m in the area and pick a few up. They looked AMAZING! Everything on the menu looked delicious. Good call, Brooke. :)

We laughed about our husbands, chatted about life, and did some brainstorming for a joint little project we’re doing in March. Stay tuned! She was also generous enough to send a Zero Scale my way, and I can’t wait to start using it and give you guys all the details.

Now, the big important stuff of Sunday morning …
… my first JM Body Revolution update vlog!

(click the picture to view the video on the FF/E YouTube channel! There is some seriously jenky editing in this vid. My computer and I were fighting last night.)

(I also address the “Is this for people who need to lose a lot of weight and/or people who want to get ripped?” question, and a few details on the intensity and vibe of the first two weeks.)

Did you watch it? HOLY CRAP, right?!

Seriously, I measured myself three times. I’m still in shock that I lost 12.5 inches in only two short weeks!

I’m working on a Body Revolution page that will keep track of FAQs, measurements, workout details, etc. For now, here’s my first measurement update chart.

JMBR – Measurement Update – Week 2

Jillian Michael's Body Revolution Measurement Progress Week 2 Update

12.5 inches. Five pounds. I still can’t believe that it actually happened! In the past it would have flipped me out to have only lost one pound this week. OBVIOUSLY the scale isn’t the only way to measure progress. I know this, but it’s nice to have a reminder every now and then. I gotta say, I might be getting my hopes up a little on what could happen over the rest of the program. 12.5 inches already? Geeeesh!

I originally got up early this morning to finish editing this post and work out … only to feel like a truck ran me over! I finally caught the death-sickness that’s been going around my office. Think hacking, fever, dizzy, and other way-to-gross things to bring up this early in the morning. You’re welcome. ;) Oh, and our truck broke down this morning, leaving Adam stranded on the side of the highway. Ay yi yi. But you know what? Life happens. I’m gonna ride this “omg i lost 12.3 inches” high, get some medicine and rest, and hopefully workout tonight. If not? I’ll just have to hit it extra hard in the morning.

I got this. Onward and downward!

How was your weekend? Any tips on curing me of my sickness quickly?

Good for you Emily! Just curious though, are you still reading Intuitive Eating? I bought it when you originally posted about it, but haven’t seen you write about it since.

Yes, I am! I’ve been talking about it weekly here and there in my posts, but will do a final recap of the book this Wednesday. :)

OH! And I’m collecting some thoughts from people who’ve been reading along … do you have anything you’d like to share in the post? :)

Positive side – at least we *had* the money to pay for it! haha.

Awesome job! I barely finished Week 1 (I got sick over the weekend and missed the cardio sessions). But I hear what you are saying. By the second week of the workouts I am seeing myself getting stronger. Today will probably be tough since I’m still recovering, but I was just starting to do more of the advanced moves at the end of the week. I am excited to see where my results are at by the end of week 2. I am really glad someone else I know is doing this too!

I’m so glad we’re doing this at the same time. 2013 is starting off AWESOME for us!

That’s amazing! Good job! I’ve been thinking about doing this after the baby is born. I went to the gym just to walk the other night and it wiped me out. I really should have been exercising consistently for the last 7 months haha

    • http://www.FitandFreeEmily.com Emily

Oh lordie, I know exactly what you mean! When I was pregnant, doing ANYTHING consistently was asking a bit too much. LOL. I think it would be a great post-baby program, but definitely make sure you get the go ahead from your doctor! I love that it’s always 30minutes. You may not get MUCH time with a newborn, but you can definitely snag 30minutes once a day!

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy! :)

    Hi Emily!

Just stumbled upon your blog a couple of days ago. Feeling down, as I was, about my mysterious bursts of eating-too-much and never being able to stick to eating healthy, it -made my day- to read about the same problems in such a positive and inspiring way.

Your series on binge-eating was also quite an eye-opener (and not in the good sense of the word, unfortunately).

So thank you for that and for your amazing attitude! I’ll try my best to fight alongside you from now on, if that’s okay. ^^

Congrats on the inches, that’s awesome!!!!! I’ve been battling the flu since last Tuesday, Tamiflu, tons of hot tea and sore throat drops have been my favorites :)
